Location is Wisconson- Many lakes, lush in nature thus somewhat Kapha
Client’s concerns/ reason for seeking AYS Support:
1. Curious about Ayurveda
As we went through the intake form, a few concerns were identified.
2. History of skin cancer
3. A tremor in the left hand only
4. High Blood Pressure- historical
5. Osteoporosis- Bone density issue
Stage of life: Post-menopausal
Post mammogram – told she has dense breast tissue, Family history of maternal cancers,
Mother of 2 adult sons identified as “challenging”
Current Condition (Vikruti) (explain all Ayurvedic terms)
VPK – Vata blocked by Kapha
High: Mobile, cold
Kapha: dense, heavy
Pitta: hot, sharp (inflammation due to the K blocking V steady state)
Occasional outbursts of Pitta are secondary to the inflammation created when motion (V) moves against the blocks (Kapha), creating heat and inflammation.
Current Condition of Agni
Sama / Vishama- leaning toward constipation yet very regular
Current Condition of the Mind:
Rajas toward Sattva – very busy, lots of spiritually minded practices, creative expression via her artwork (inspirational art), mostly veg diet with some fish, healer profession, since menopause experiencing more brain fog, forgetfulness, broken sleep,
Brain fog due to post-menopause
Quality of Ojas:
Ojas is low due to complex issues with adult children; long-standing tremor makes her artistic expression challenging.
Anything else not found on the intake form:
A visual artist -creating paintings and collages
Borderline cholesterol
Hearing loss
Daily diet:
Breakfast: Mushroom coffee, no sugar cereal with milk, or toast and fruit
Lunch: Veggie stir fry, Tuna salad, veggie burger, pasta
Dinner: Leftovers, salad, fruit, soup
Snacks: Protein bar, fruit, nuts, crackers
She reports having hunger and snacking most often between breakfast and lunch.
